Not the beat for round toilets. You will lose valuable real estate

I have a round Kohler basic toilet so ordered a round bidet. My toilet is a two piece that meets all the size requirements. The distance from my water container to the back edge of the bowl is about 5 inches. From the screw holes to back edge of bowl is about 2 1/2 inches. The distance from the seat holes to the front is 17 inches as outlined in Alpha’s fitment guide.

Despite meeting all the size requirements the round bidet will not go back far enough to sit flush with the front edge of a round toilet. The mechanics extends too far forward for the round seat to align with the front of the toilet bowl.

The front inner edge of the bowl is visible by about 1 1/2 inches below the front inner edge of toilet seat. This takes up valuable real estate of a round toilet. I’m 5’9” 155 lbs. and its pretty tight. My wife being petite doesn’t have a problem. In fact I think the round bidet would probably sit pretty well on an elongated toilet.

If you’re looking for a bidet for a round toilet look for something where the mechanics are not so wide that it pushes too far forward. That may mean less features bit more comfort.

Best Purchase I Have Ever Made

This is spectacular. My husband was initially VERY skeptical as to if we needed a bidet, complained about the cost, and then we hooked it up. The first time he used it there was a bit of a "OH" but now he LOVES it. The seat is warm when you sit down, but not that eww someone was just sitting here warm, just pleasant, and that temperature is adjustable. The strength of the spray, the direction of the spray, and the temperature of the spray are all adjustable too. We will never own another toilet and not have a bidet seat on it. Ever. It was worth every single penny we paid for it.
