The new NOVA 1000 Bidet Toilet Seat from BidetKing.com is the latest entry into the value bidet seat category. The NOVA 1000 Bidet Seat features a side panel control arm and a slew of solid features including a hybrid heating system for unlimited warm water. The NOVA 1000 was designed for simplicity and ease of use. It features 3 wash modes for the rear, front, and a turbo enema function. It also has a heated seat, pulse and nozzle oscillation, and a child's mode which reduces water pressure for children.
The NOVA 1000 is a perfect entry level bidet for new users and also as an affordable option for a 2nd or guest bathroom. Without a dryer, deodorizer, or other "bells and whistles", the NOVA bidet is designed for just one thing - keeping you clean! It offers very solid water pressure and its hybrid heating system is both energy efficient and effective in delivering unlimited warm water.
The NOVA 1000 is also the first bidet seat with the ability to turn off the occupied seat sensor. This allows the seat to be more adaptable to accessible toileting aids and commodes.

- Not the Best Choice Review by Jim
I bought one of these about 18 months ago. I previously had a Daelim Cleanlet. The Cleanlet was perfect. It did everything I wanted it to and it lasted about 8-10 years. When I had to replace it I bought this one. Either the wand isn't long enough or the basic framework is wrong, but I have to get into an unnatural position to use it. Also, the spray isn't very strong. And now, after a year and a half it has failed. I would not buy it again. (Posted on 10/15/2015)Rating - Good, BUT Review by Alf

The “bidet” experience is sublime. This is certainly the way it should be. Even better is to get a stool such as Squatypotty to lift your feet into a perfectly comfortable position. The old way is crude and gross.
This device, the NOVA is an aftermarket accessory. As such, it might be expected to have some compatibility problems. It does.
PROBLEMS:
I had a “round” toilet so I ordered a “round” seat. The unit is adjustable front to rear but its rearward movement is limited by the tank and there is a nozzle underneath which could come up against the rear of the bowl. With the seat fully adjusted as far rearward as possible, limited by the tank, the inside edge of the ring seat was about an inch and a half forward of the front of the bowl. This left a “shelf” where, if I peed while sitting, it directed the pee under the ring and onto the floor!
I decided that the “round” seat was too short for the “round” bowl so I bought a new “elongated” toilet ($400).
The elongated bowl was better but there was still about an inch or less of the bowl showing in front of the inside edge of the ring seat. The seat has a “dam” which extends down toward the bowl but stops about a quarter inch short. There was still enough space to pee through the gap! This problem was exacerbated by the stool which lifts the legs.
One solution is to lean forward enough to direct your stream below the gap. If the seat and bowl had been designed as a unit, the inside front edge of the seat could have been fit together properly.
This can be a good experience but you must remain vigilant that you do not mess upon the floor! Also, there is a certain amount of splashing. It is a good idea to wipe the underside of the seat after use.

Hi June,
Whether the lid is up or down will not affect the wattage use of the bidet seat. It largely depends on what temperature the heated seat is set to and whether or not eco mode is activated. At rest, the Nova will draw about 55W if the heated seat is set to high with eco mode off.
Thank you,

Hi Larry,
The stated weight capacity of the Nova is 320lbs, but we wouldn't recommend it for a user of that size. Please refer to this article for additional information about the complications of bidet seats for larger users: http://bidetking.com/blog/what-is-the-best-bidet-toilet-seat-for-heavy-or-bariatric-users/
Thank you,
