The TOTO Washlet S7A is the new flagship bidet seat from the global industry leading brand TOTO. Replacing the previous S550e model, the S7A comes with a facelift and a few added features to take the title of "the best bidet seat money can buy" into the future. Available in an elongated size, the Washlet S7A comes in both Cotton White and Sedona Beige colorways.
The TOTO Washlet S7A is different from the S7 in that it includes the automatic opening/closing seat and lid. They are otherwise identical.

Design
The TOTO Washlet S7A again comes in 2 lid designs, contemporary and classic. The new contemporary lid design is more rounded and has a seamless look to match most modern toilet bowls. The classic lid has a beveled edge making it more in line with traditional styles. At just 4.1" in rear height, the TOTO S7A is one of the slimmest bidet seats on the market today. Like the previous generation, the lid and seat are motorized and can be programmed to raise and close automatically.
A nice update on the Washlet S7A is that TOTO figured out a way to make the seat seamless. This eliminates the gap where dirt has a habit of collecting.
The Washlet S7A can now be used with both regular toilets, as well as TOTO T20/T40 toilets as part of a Washlet+ system. TOTO adjusted the location of the water hose and electrical cord to be able to accommodate both installation types. This also means that it's Auto Flush capable once you pair it with a compatible TOTO auto flush kit (sold separately).
The TOTO S7A also features an updated remote control design. The remote control now utilizes a horizontal layout with larger main buttons. The buttons are all tactile physical buttons instead of the touch capacitive type in the previous generation. The back of the remote control has additional buttons to fine tune your washlet experience. TOTO surprisingly removed the LCD screen on the rear of the remote control. While this saves battery life, it also makes changing advanced settings more difficult.
Functions
The TOTO Washlet S7A comes fully loaded with every feature you'd expect in a top of the line bidet seat - and then some. It produces a soothing/strong dual action aerated stream. The front and rear sprays each have two difference modes, soft or hard depending on your preference. While TOTO washlet’s do not have the strongest sprays on the market, they are very effective and comfortable.
The S7A uses a tankless water heating system that produces unlimited warm water for the duration of the wash. Its tankless water heater is capable of producing and maintaining temperatures of up to 104 degrees on demand.
The dryer on the S7A is also a strength. In general, bidet seats do not have strong dryers for health reasons as you don’t want a strong fan blowing around your dirty toilet bowl. TOTO’s high end washlets have above average dryers and seem to move more air than other brands.
One unique feature that Toto is known for is Ewater+. The S7A uses Ewater+ to sanitize the nozzle and toilet bowl between uses to keep it extra hygienic.
New Features
New on the S7A is the ability to manually mist the toilet bowl with Ewater+ using a button on the back of the remote. Another new feature is a 'power deodorizer' function that boosts the deodorizer fan into high gear during especially fragrant movements.
TOTO also upgraded the automatic lid functionality for the S7A. When combined with a compatible auto flush kit, the S7A can be set to automatically close the lid before flushing the toilet, taking bathroom hygiene to the next level.
The S7A series will have a lot more fine tuning adjustments available. For example, you can adjust the timing of the auto lid, set a schedule for the power saving modes, set the LED lighting to 'night mode', and more.
