The Alpha JX does not control your toilet's flushing mechanism. All bidet functions need to be manually activated, nothing happens automatically.

We don't have any official way of changing the color of the light. It's just a simple LED on the bottom of the unit, so perhaps some colored tape would do the trick.

The ion filter would help the most. However, to truly remove calcium and hard water minerals, you need a whole home water softening solution . Inline filters can only do so much.

The toilet appears to be a 2 piece elongated toilet with plenty of space for any bidet seat. However, the toilet has unusual squared off shape of the bowl that no bidet seat will match.

The dryer function on any bidet seat feels like a hair dryer on a very low setting. For sanitary/hygiene reason, the fans are not powerful. They can fully dry you, but it will take 2-3 minutes or so. They are great for folks with limited mobility. If you are able bodied, you may choose to wipe/dab dry after cleansing instead.

The Alpha JX, as well as other bidet seats, just need a standard 110V 3 prong outlet to plug into.

Hi Scott,
No, these bidet seats do NOT require a dedicated circuit. They will work fine on shared circuits so long as there aren't any other heavy appliances on the same circuit.
Bidet seats can draw up to 1400W, but this will only be for a few minutes a day during a wash cycle. Most of the time, they just sit there idle.
Thanks

The ion and sediment filters serve the same purpose. They remove sand, sediment, rust and small particles from the water supply before it reaches your bidet seat. The ion filters are the upgraded version and also help sterilize the water.
You would only use one or the other, not both. They are recommended by all the factories, but not required.
Each filter has a lifespan of 6 months under normal use.

The Alpha JX bidet toilet seat is an antimicrobial resin coating the nozzle. Before and after each use, the nozzle cleans itself with a jet of fresh water as well.
