Bio Bidet BB-1000 Supreme Bidet Seat w/ Remote
- Product Review (submitted on May 24, 2013):
First of all I’m a very, very, very, large person. I had E-mailed Bidetking about that and the BB-1000 was one they recommended. The BB-1000 is also the one I had been looking at before e-mailing them.
I had downloaded the instructions for it and noticed there was no weight limit specified. Well let me say it doesn’t seem to have any problem with me and my weight. I’m also handicapped. I have extensive stenosis in my lower back and bone on bone arthritis in my knees. The stenosis has causes neuropathy in my legs. My feet are numb. In fact I have gone to using hand controls in my van. What originally caught my eye about the BB-1000 was how strong its max pressure was supposed to be. The concern Bidetking had about my size was that (this could get TMI) my weight could pinch things together making it tough for the bidet to do its job. Well, let me say the BB-1000 does the job very well. Of course I’ve found as I’ve used it (had it about a month) you learn to maximize it and yourself for best results (no I will not get more specific on that).
On the negative side:
The seat lid is not made to support any significant weight. It says not to sit on it. I have avoided sitting on toilet seat lids for years being afraid I could break them. My wife however has had to change her bathroom habits a little because of that restriction.
We have the oval design on an oval “comfort seat” height (think it 17”) type toilet. I actually measured the opening front to back on the old seat and the BB-1000. It’s about the same. Very close. As large as I am it seems restrictive. The problem is mainly that there a lot of stuff in back stopping one from shifting back a little. It can be a little restrictive for a man my size.
I could care less about a heated toilet seat. I haven’t used one in 65 years why should I care about a heated seat now. As for the heated water I have it set on max. It barely lasts one whole cycle when I have the pressure set on max (which is always) and let it go till it times out. One those really extreme situations where I feel I need to do things more than once it’s cold. This time of the year, May, it’s not a problem. In maybe January when the water coming into the house is a lot cooler I don’t know if I’ll have the same opinion.
I get the impression that Bio Bidet has been making this exact same model for a while now. Surprised there isn’t a BB-1001 or whatever yet. DON’T take away anything but I would think by now they could have “tweaked” something.
